Arachne Solara is one of the cosmic goddesses of Glorantha. She sometimes takes the form of a great, black spider. She is associated with time.
Lights Going Out[]
Arachne Solara, though unnamed in Lights Going Out, first appears during the game's clan creation. She first makes it clear that the world's destruction is inevitable, but its remaking is still a possibility. She asks you what value strand of the cosmic weave your clan shall begin with.
Events[]
She may make minor appearances throughout the game, like providing assistance when Berenstead unravels, see the event World Unweaves.
Exploration[]
She may be encountered during a random event in the form of a powerful spider spirit in your wildlands. She may then gift you with magic and a length of webbing that exists only in the silver realm, with the comment: "You will need it when the time comes, not that time exists yet."
Myths & Rituals[]
She reappears again near the end of the game, just before the final confrontation with Chaos inside the Dead World.
