Dialogue[]

The Gods War, the weird and resonant space where days and years scramble together and deities fight each other to the death, has come to Berenstead. In the scrublands on the furthest edge of your territory, a hole in the world opens up. Out spills a host of glowing demon-men. Your lore-keepers remember them as the terrifying warriors from the jade city of Alkoth, far to the north. They have not been seen around here in generations.
  1. Attack them.
  2. Call on Eurmal the Trickster to point them at a rival clan.
  3. Hunker down.
  4. Offer them a treasure to leave you alone.

Six Ages 2: Lights Going Out

Consequences[]

If you successfully attack them, you will drive the Alkothi back into their portal. Mood will raise.

If you hunker down, they scuttle up your walls and attack. Select a noble to lead the defense. A number of your defenders may be injured. With the right noble chosen (Combat skill presumably preferred), the Alkothi retreat back into the Gods War hole, which then closes. The people may rejoice. Alternatively, the Alkothi may take a look at your fortifications, and then charge off. Instead, you may see them fight some bird riders that also fell out of the Gods War--a fight the Alkothi win. Finally they will go back into the hole in reality before it too disappears.

If you successfully call on Eurmal you get to choose a nearby clan, which Alkothi will attack instead. This will of course not endear you to neighboring clan at all.
